If you truly want to be successful and stay afloat during a recession you are going to have to figure out a better way to serve your customers. Regardless, if you are selling a product or offering a service, you should not do anything to cut costs in that area. The thing that really is going to make your business stand out is how you are servicing your customers. If you try to cut costs by making a cheaper product, the customers that are actually buying the product might turn to a different retailer in order to get a higher quality product. Never undervalue your services or sacrifice the reputation of your goods or services in order to try to save a few dollars.
