Since it opened in 1998, MyCorporation has served more than 1 million clients. They’re based in California, but they provide business services in all 50 states.
They offer a wide variety of business services, and we appreciate their level of transparency. You can contact their CEO directly on X @deborahsweeney if you have any questions or comments about their service.
✔ Since 1998, MyCorporation has helped form more than 1 million businesses. Only a handful of competitors can claim that many business formations.✔ MyCorporation offers some financial services that most competitors don’t offer as optional add-ons to LLC formation. For example, they can provide assistance with state unemployment insurance for your employees. Not all businesses need these, of course, but it’s nice to have the option.
✘ Their $109 Basic plan is fairly expensive, especially considering there are LLC services like ours at ZenBusiness that will start an LLC for free (just pay your state’s required fee).
MyCorporation offers four options for LLC formation packages: Basic, Standard, Deluxe, and Premium. Below is a breakdown of what you’ll get in each package.
➢ Articles of Organization (Preparation and Filing): MyCorporation will draft this document, which is used to officially form your LLC with the government. After they prepare the forms, MyCorporation will file them with your state of formation to create your company.
➢ Business Name Availability Search: In order to determine whether your desired company name is available in your state of formation, they’ll search the state business database to make sure there isn’t a match.
Everything from the Basic package, plus…
➢ Annual Report Service: MyCorporation usually offers this service for $134 per year (plus state fee), but Standard LLC package customers have it included. They’ll manage, prepare, and file your annual report, and they also include a handy corporate reminders tool.
Everything from the Standard package, plus…
➢ One Year Registered Agent Service: Every LLC operating in America is required to designate a registered agent, which is an entity or individual that accepts service of process and other important document deliveries on behalf of your LLC, then forwards them to you. After the year of service included in this package, MyCorporation charges $120 per year, although you are under no obligation to purchase a renewal.
Everything from the Deluxe package, plus…
➢ One Year MaintainMyBiz Subscription: Over the next year, you’ll be able to order up to four more document filing services and/or business products from MyCorporation at no extra charge. These include:
After your one year of included subscription, you can renew this service for $250 per year.

With four package offerings, there are more choices available for business owners than many other services offer. While their $109 Basic package is a barebones formation package, their $134 Standard package adds a year of annual report service.
Their Deluxe package is priced at $234 and adds a year of registered agent service to the foundation of the Standard package. Finally, MyCorporation’s Premium package at $334 adds four maintenance filings within one year of your formation.
Depending on your company’s needs, MyCorporation may have a package that suits your needs. Their price point for each year of registered agent service is $120 for the first year and renews at $179. In general, though, you’ll probably need to spend more money to form your LLC or corporation with MyCorporation than you will with some of their competitors.
MyCorporation opened for business back in 1998, and they’ve helped over one million clients form and manage their businesses since then. We found only about 277 reviews of them on TrustPilot with an overall score of 3.5 out of 5 stars (as of May 2025), which falls short of many of their competitors, including those that offer free LLC formation.
MyCorporation offers phone and email support. They seem to have chat support, but when we tried to use it during normal business hours, it said that “Live Chat is now closed.” The phone customer support hours are only Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PT.
We submitted a question via email and received a response by mid-afternoon the next day. Our question was answered but not greatly elaborated upon. We also called, and our response was slightly more detailed. We didn’t wait on hold for long, and it was easy to navigate through to a customer service representative.
The point of using an incorporation service is to save time and simplify the formation process. With some online services, it can still feel like you’re basically filing on your own. But with MyCorporation, the process is straightforward and convenient. The application was easy to fill out, and we made it from the first page of the order form to the last screen within about 10 minutes.
You select your add-on options from the package selection screen before entering the application, but there are a series of upsells right before you pay. The additional services at this stage of the application are offered based on choices you made earlier, and your price adds up on the screen as you go, including state-specific fees.
MyCorporation isn’t very clear regarding turnaround times for forming a corporation or LLC. Near the end of the application process, they invite you to pay an extra $100 (plus state fee) to expedite processing “up to 85%” compared to a standard filing. They claim, “Your documents will be hand-delivered to the Secretary of the State’s Office for immediate filing.” Note that this refers only to the time it takes to get your documents to the state, not how long it will take the state to approve or deny your filing.
MyCorporation is a good company with advantages and disadvantages. They won’t be the perfect fit for every business, so let’s review some scenarios where you may or may not want to use MyCorporation as your online incorporation service.
If you want annual report service, they’re a solid option. Aside from that, if you’re looking for an experienced LLC formation provider, MyCorporation could be a good pick.
MyCorporation’s $109 minimum price point for LLC service is high, especially considering that some competitors (like us at ZenBusiness) will form your LLC for free — and you’ll pay your state’s fee either way.

Frequently Asked Questions About MyCorporation
MyCorporation has an extensive track record with more than 1 million businesses served since the company was formed in 1995. We found only about 277 reviews of them on TrustPilot with an overall score of 3.5 out of 5 stars (as of May 2025), which falls short of many of their competitors, including those that offer free LLC formation.
We’re not aware of any current discounts or special offer for MyCorporation as of this writing (May 2025).
MyCorporation seems to have solid customer service. They keep everything in-house, which means that you’ll speak with a trained professional every time you contact them with a question or concern.
It’s normal to be uncertain about which online LLC formation service is the right choice for your unique business. After all, there are many options out there, and each of them has its own set of advantages and disadvantages.
However, we’ve done countless hours of research on this topic, reviewing and comparing all of the best LLC formation services. We invite you to check out some of our comparison guides, which take a head-to-head view of the competition between MyCorporation and their top competitors:
MyCorporation vs. ZenBusiness: We’ll form your new LLC for free (just pay your state’s required fee). That’s obviously $109 less than MyCorporation.
We also have a much larger volume of customer feedback than MyCorporation, and our average scores are considerably higher, too. That said, MyCorporation has a bit more experience than we do.
MyCorporation vs Northwest Registered Agent: Northwest’s claim to fame is its personalized customer support. Their highly trained support reps will walk you through each step of the formation process, and they’re just a phone call away if you have any questions or concerns.
However, while Northwest does include a year of registered agent service with its LLC formation packages, it charges $125 per year after that, which is a higher rate than many competitors. By contrast, MyCorporation charges $120 (+ state fee) for the first year and $179 (+ state fee) annually after that.
MyCorporation vs. Bizee: Like us at ZenBusiness, Bizee (formerly Incfile) offers an LLC formation package for free, as long as you pay your own state fee. Seeing as they offer this service for $109 less than MyCorporation does, pricing is a win for Bizee.
Bizee and MyCorporation have roughly similar customer volumes, as both companies have helped more than 1 million business customers. However, while both companies receive positive feedback from their clients, Incfile has a much larger volume of reviews.
MyCorporation vs. LegalZoom: MyCorporation’s $109 entry-level LLC formation price point is significantly higher than LegalZoom’s $0 rate. In addition, LegalZoom has more experience than MyCorporation, with 4+ million customers served. LegalZoom also has a higher quantity of high-quality customer feedback.
MyCorporation has a reasonable refund policy that states they’ll provide a refund if you request one within 60 days of your purchase. They do charge a processing fee if you purchased any physical products or if you need them to make any alterations to documents they’ve prepared for you.
Sure. In fact, it’s not uncommon at all for entrepreneurs to form their own LLCs, but it can be a lot of paperwork and research, depending on the state.
Some will go to the other end of the spectrum and hire an attorney to form their LLC, which can be very costly. Online LLC services are much simpler than forming your own and usually much cheaper than hiring a lawyer.
Each state has a way to reserve a business name before forming your entity itself. In general, this is only necessary if you aren’t yet ready to enter the formation process. If you’re ready to start your business, there’s no reason to reserve your name before forming your LLC.
Yes, there’s no requirement that you be present in the U.S. to form an LLC. In fact, you don’t need to be a U.S. citizen or resident to form an LLC, either, as foreign nationals are allowed to own and operate LLCs just like U.S. citizens are.
We gave MyCorporation’s customer support a call, and they told us that they don’t offer publication service for LLCs. If you have a question about the requirements for your state, it doesn’t hurt to ask if they might be able to help. If you’re looking for a company that will take care of publication requirements on your behalf, take a look at our New York publication service.
You can contact MyCorporation via phone by calling 877-692-6772. Instead of publishing a specific email address, they have an email contact form on their website. Once you submit your message, a MyCorporation representative will reach out to you via email.
MyCorporation includes “special offers” with their LLC formation packages that are opportunities for them to share your info with third-party partners. Be aware that their payroll processing, custom logo design, credit cards, website design, customer relationship management, business checks, accounting solutions, and free domain name offers all require them to share your information. If you’d rather opt out of these info-sharing agreements, let them know.
MyCorporation offers a variety of additional services that can make your life easier as an entrepreneur. They provide assistance with ongoing maintenance issues like annual reports, as well as apostilles, corporate resolutions, member and stock certificates, certified copies, notary service, and payroll.
They also provide a selection of other business filings, including foreign qualifications, dissolutions, withdrawals, reinstatements, amendments, and Certificates of Good Standing. They even have business products like promotional products, apparel, retail packaging, print marketing, business checks, and logo design.
This is a tough question to answer without knowing the specific needs of your unique business. We personally enjoy getting an EIN included with our LLC formation, even if it means spending extra to add it on or to upgrade to a higher level of LLC service.
The convenience of not having to get one ourselves through the IRS is worth it for us, and we like to have our Articles of Organization and EIN confirmation in the same place. However, we would understand if you’d rather save some money and acquire your own EIN from the IRS directly.
In our opinion, MyCorporation’s biggest advantage is its experience, having formed over one million businesses. Their biggest disadvantage is that their $109 Basic plan is fairly expensive, especially considering there are LLC services like ours at ZenBusiness that will start an LLC for free (just pay your state’s required fee).
Yes. MyCorporation offers registered agent service for $179 per year ($120 for the first year) and annual reports for $134 per year. The MyCorporation Deluxe package includes both features and costs $234 (plus state fee).
