Incfile, now operating as Bizee, has been around since 2004 and has helped form over 1 million businesses across the U.S. They’re known for offering one of the few truly $0 (+ state fee) LLC formation services on the market — something they share in common with ZenBusiness.
In this Bizee LLC service review, we’ll walk through their pricing, key features, pros and cons, and how they compare to ZenBusiness. If you’re looking for a reliable business formation service, this breakdown will help you decide if Bizee is the right fit — or if a ZenBusiness plan might be a better long-term value.
✔ Bizee (Incfile) has a lot of experience, with more than 1 million businesses formed since it opened in 2004.✔ Like ZenBusiness, Bizee offers a $0 formation package, you just pay your state’s filing fee.✔ Bizee includes a year of registered agent service (which is a requirement for all LLCs) in every LLC formation package. For more information check out Incfile/Bizee registered agent service review page.✔ Bizee has tens of thousands of online reviews and a strong overall satisfaction rating.
✘ Although the entry-level plan is free, Bizee includes more upsell offers throughout the process — and total costs can add up quickly.✘ Bizee’s customer support system isn’t always the most responsive, especially by email. ✘ No weekend phone support available.✘ Unlike ZenBusiness, Bizee does not offer a no-questions-asked refund policy.
Bizee has three LLC formation packages, each with its own combination of pricing and features. We will break down each option below.
➢ Preparation and Filing of Your Articles of Organization: The Articles of Organization are the documents required to form your new LLC. Bizee will draft these documents and file them with your state to officially create your business.
➢ Name Availability Searches: They search your formation state’s business database to make sure that your desired business name isn’t already taken by another entity.
➢ One Year of Registered Agent Services: A registered agent (legally required to form an LLC) accepts important documents on behalf of your business, then forwards them to you. This person or entity helps ensure you never miss an important delivery. Bizee (previously Incfile) provides this service free for one year, after which there’s a $119 annual fee, but there’s no obligation to renew this service. For more information, compare companies on our best registered agent services page.
Includes everything from the Basic package, plus…
➢ Employer Identification Number (EIN): This is a nine-digit number that essentially works as a Social Security number for your business. With an EIN, you can open a business bank account, file business taxes, hire employees, and more. You can acquire your own EIN relatively easily from the IRS, but Bizee can save you some time and effort by doing it for you.
➢ Operating Agreement template: An operating agreement is a document that outlines the ownership structure of your business, along with laying some ground rules for the way your company will operate. Bizee will provide a template for you to create this document.
➢ Lifetime Company Alerts: Bizee will send you email notifications throughout the life cycle of your LLC to inform you of upcoming filing deadlines for documents like annual reports and business licenses.
➢ Online Document Access: As soon as your state of formation returns your filed documents to Bizee, they’ll post them to your online client dashboard and notify you that they’re ready to view and download.
➢ Express Shipping: Bizee will ship a hard copy of your filed Articles of Organization to you using express shipping (1-3 business day delivery) with a tracking number.
➢ Banking Resolution: This document designates who has the authorization to open a business bank account on behalf of your LLC.
➢ S Corporation Tax Form Preparation: If you decide to have your business taxed like an S corporation, Bizee will prepare and file the relevant forms with the IRS.
➢ Business Tax Consultation: A 30-minute (no-obligation) consult session with a certified tax professional. You can ask them any questions you may have about the tax rules and regulations that apply to your business.
Includes everything from the Standard package, plus…
➢ Next-Day Filing: Bizee will process your order and submit your formation documents to your state by the next business day after your purchase.
➢ Sample Document Library: You’ll get access to Bizee’s legal contract templates. This is a library of 25+ commonly used business forms and documents written by an attorney that you can customize for your needs.
➢ Domain Name and Business Email: You’ll receive a domain name to use for your business website, along with an official business email account for your business. These features are free of charge for one year.

**SPECIAL OFFER – Starter is $0 plus state fees with one optional free year of Worry-Free Compliance (renews at $199/yr).† ZenBusiness is a financial technology company and is not a bank. Banking services provided by Thread Bank, Member FDIC.
Bizee will help you form your business for free (all you pay is your state’s fee) while also providing a year of registered agent service. Once the first year is over, the registered agent service will renew for $119 per year, but you can opt out if you’d like.
Their mid-tier Standard package costs $199. If you want more documents, such as an operating agreement and a banking resolution, EIN acquisition, lifetime company alerts, and an S corporation tax election (if necessary), the Standard package may be worth a look.
Bizee’s Premium package is more expensive at $299, but depending on your business needs, the value may be there for you. You’ll receive faster in-house processing, along with a domain name and business email address.
Bizee was founded in 2004 out of Houston, Texas, “with a mission to provide a superior user experience at an unparalleled value.” Since starting out, they have helped entrepreneurs form more than one million businesses.
Customer reviews are a strength for Bizee, as they have thousands of positive reviews across the web and just a small handful of negative feedback.
Bizee offers phone, chat, and email support, which we tested. Whenever we’ve called Bizee, we’ve received prompt and courteous assistance from their representatives, even though they don’t elaborate on their answers very much or offer up a ton of additional info.
While we found their phone support to be quite responsive, that hasn’t been the case with their email support in our experience. We sent them several emails, and they only responded to some of them. Even the responses we did receive arrived days later and were mostly form emails that didn’t directly address our questions.
The point of using an incorporation service is to save time and make the formation process as simple as possible. With some online services, it can still feel like you’re basically filing on your own. But with Bizee, the process is fast and simple.
As you walk through the process of signing up for Bizee, your steps are personalized based on the state you live in and the type of business you want to establish. There are question marks and hyperlinks throughout the application to learn more about a specific question or entry on the form.
Bizee gives you the option to opt into additional services that aren’t part of your formation package, and if you choose to do so, your price is immediately updated on the screen.
When it comes down to making a choice, Bizee may have more advantages than disadvantages. Here are some scenarios where you should or shouldn’t use Bizee for LLC formation services.
If you’re on a budget but still want help creating an LLC, Bizee and ZenBusiness both offer business formation services for free (just pay your state’s fee).
If you’re looking for more responsive customer support, you might be better off using one of their competitors. Also, if you value having a 100% satisfaction guarantee backing up your purchases, companies like ZenBusiness and LegalZoom have better offers.

Incfile, now Bizee, was founded in 2004, and they’ve formed more than one million business entities over the years. They have a strong customer feedback reputation, with more than 20,000 reviews available online, and the majority of those reviews are positive.
Their clients appreciate their free formation package, as well as the general ease of use provided by Bizee.
Impressively, yes, Bizee is one of the only companies (along with ZenBusiness) that will form an LLC for free.
They used to charge $49 for their base package but have refined their systems over the years to offer a service that will form an LLC online for free. All you pay is the state filing fee.
Bizee also offers paid business formation packages for $199 and $299 that include more features and faster processing times.
While Bizee is one of the most popular LLC services available, there are some other companies that are also worth considering. Check out our one-on-one comparison guides for a closer look.
As we mentioned earlier, Bizee’s email support can be slow and unresponsive, but we appreciate its phone support. That said, its hours of operation are a bit short. You can reach Bizee from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST on weekdays.
While some competitors like ZenBusiness offer 100% satisfaction guarantees, Bizee does not. They charge a $30 cancellation fee, and they also will only provide a refund if you request it before they submit your payment to the state, which is typically within 24 hours of placing your order.
Some entrepreneurs do choose the do-it-yourself route when it comes to LLC formation, but it can be a hassle. It requires a decent time investment, and you’ll have to research your state of formation’s specific requirements, as well.
Most states have a way to reserve a business name before forming your entity itself. In general, this is only necessary if you aren’t yet ready to enter the formation process. If you’re ready to start your business, there’s no reason to reserve your name before forming your LLC with Bizee.
Note: Certain states (like Alabama) require you to reserve a name before you form your business. In that case, Bizee will take care of it because it’s part of the LLC registration process.
Yes, there is no requirement that you be present in the U.S. to form an LLC. In fact, you don’t need to be a U.S. citizen or resident to form an LLC either, as foreign nationals are allowed to own and operate LLCs just like U.S. citizens are.
We contacted Bizee’s customer support via phone, and they told us that they do not handle publication requirements because “those need to be taken care of with the state directly.”
If you’re forming an LLC in New York and would like help taking care of publication requirements, look into ZenBusiness, as we offer to take care of this entire process on your behalf. For more information, take a look at our guide to New York’s publication requirement.
You can contact Bizee via phone by calling 844-830-8267. Instead of publishing a specific email address, they have an email contact form on their website. If you really need to talk to them, we recommend calling.
Bizee typically processes your paperwork and sends it to the state in 48 hours or a little more. If you need to speed up your formation, you can upgrade to the $299 Premium package, which includes next-day document filing. You can also see if your state offers expedited filing services.
Note that these times refer to the time it takes Bizee to submit your documents to the state, not how long the state will take to process and approve your LLC paperwork; those times will vary greatly by state, the time of year, and other factors.
We think that Bizee’s biggest pro is its free LLC formation package. Much like ZenBusiness, Bizee will form your new business for free, as long as you pay your state’s required fee.
Bizee doesn’t really have any glaring negatives, although we would say that their upsells are a bit of a drawback. You will experience quite a few upsell attempts as you work your way through their order form.
Yes. Bizee offers registered agent service for $119 per year, and it also provides annual reports for $99 each.
