If you’re researching the many registered agent services on the market today, you might encounter InCorp’s registered agent services.
But does InCorp Services provide a good registered agent service offering? How does it compare to most registered agent services? In this guide, we’ll review InCorp, including what this company is, its track record, how this registered agent service stacks up, and more.
A registered agent, sometimes called a resident agent or statutory agent, is an individual or a business entity that receives legal documents like service of process on behalf of a business. When you register your business with your state, you’ll be required to designate a registered agent. Many business owners decide to hire a registered agent service for peace of mind and to protect their business’s image.
In most states, a registered agent needs to be an individual or business entity with a physical address in the state (P.O. boxes don’t count). The agent needs to be physically present at their listed address (often referred to as the registered agent address or registered office) during all standard business hours.
If you don’t designate a registered agent, your business’s initial filings will be rejected, and your business won’t be formed. Additionally, if your existing business no longer has an agent, your business could lose its good standing in the state and face penalties like administrative dissolution.
In many cases, it’s possible to be your own registered agent (and it’s natural to want a free registered agent, which you can get if you serve as your own agent). But just because you can be your own agent doesn’t mean you should. InCorp Services, Inc. (sometimes called InCorp for short) was founded in 1998 and has served over 250,000 customers in some capacity since then. It’s based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Registered agent service is one of its primary offerings, but it also provides business formation services, EIN filing, help getting a DBA, and more.
InCorp also offers an add-on EntityWatch system that’s designed to help you keep your business compliant. Essentially, the system compares its database to Secretary of State databases to check that you’ve filed annual reports and other necessary filings to stay in good standing.
Before we do a full review of InCorp Services, let’s take a quick look at the brand’s primary advantages and disadvantages.
When we evaluated InCorp Services, we investigated several aspects of their company, including the registered agent service itself, pricing, online customer reviews, and customer support. Let’s talk through those categories.
InCorp offers a pretty standard yet professional registered agent service offering. If you hire them, they’ll fulfill the statutory duties of a registered agent for you, so you’ll always have someone available to accept service of process on your behalf. They provide services in all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
As an InCorp Services registered agent customer, you’ll also get access to their Entity Management System, which allows you to keep track of important corporate compliance details such as annual reports, view and store business documents, and more.
InCorp’s primary selling point is affordability. The base fee for registered agent service is $129 per year, but that yearly fee drops if you pay for multiple years of service up front. For example, if you hire them as your agent for five years, your price drops to $87 per year. Compared to many competitors in the registered agent sector, this is an affordable option. Note: pricing varies for U.S. territories, so consult InCorp’s pricing page if you need registered agent service in one of the territories.
InCorp doesn’t offer a wide variety of extra features, so if you’re looking for a “premier” registered agent service, you won’t find it there. But they do fill this role for you at an affordable price.
InCorp does have a variety of other services, such as help forming a new business entity like an LLC or corporation, getting a foreign qualification in another state, getting a Certificate of Good Standing, and a few other services. Compared to some competitors, their service library is on the smaller side, but they can help you with a variety of basic business needs.
In our opinion, InCorp’s biggest drawback is their customer feedback. To start, there isn’t a ton of it to be found on third-party sites like Trustpilot and the Better Business Bureau; between those two sites, we found fewer than 40 reviews. It’s surprising that a brand that’s been around since 1998 has so few reviews.
Unfortunately, however, the reviews that InCorp does have are unimpressive. Technically, the majority of the reviews on Trustpilot are positive — but by a small margin. At the time of this writing (August 20, 2025), they have 35 reviews on Trustpilot, and 21 of them are 5-star ratings. The other 14? All 1-star reviews. If you place a lot of trust in customer feedback, then you’ll be sorely disappointed by InCorp’s polarized showing in this category. On the Better Business Bureau page, they have only five customer reviews, three of which are only one star (as of August 20, 2025).
In contrast, ZenBusiness has a huge library of positive reviews from thousands of happy customers. Across 23,949 reviews, we have an average score of 4.8 out of five stars on Trustpilot.
Currently, InCorp offers customer support through several channels. During their service hours, you can get an answer to many simple questions pretty quickly through their live chat feature on their website. You can also call the phone number on their website or fill out the “Contact Us” form and await a response. Their posted customer support hours run from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (PT) on weekdays only.
In the customer reviews we did find online, customer support was a big complaint for several InCorp customers. Reviewers often mention that they had trouble getting services canceled or resolving charges for discontinued services. Others struggled to get prompt assistance to begin with. Granted, not everyone has such a mediocre experience, but when you’re managing your business and you need help, you don’t want to be stuck in their shoes — unable to get the answers you need.
We didn’t have a good experience with InCorp’s customer support, either. When we asked a question through their contact form, we received a response on the same business day. Unfortunately, the support representative didn’t carefully read our question (they answered a completely different question), so it took longer than necessary to get the information we requested.

In short, yes, every LLC and corporation operating in America today needs to designate a registered agent (in Pennsylvania, you list a registered office instead of an agent, but the gist of the requirement is the same). A registered agent is a person or business entity who receives service of process and important document deliveries from the state, then forwards them to your business. It’s a crucial part of any LLC or corporation’s compliance.
Technically, you can serve as your own agent, appoint a friend or family member, or even hire an attorney to fill this role for you, but a dedicated registered agent service is a wise choice for balancing overall value with peace of mind.
InCorp has a pretty confusing refund policy. You can only qualify for a partial refund on registered agent fees if you have not yet received InCorp’s registered agent address, and it’s been less than 30 days since you purchased the service. If you meet those criteria, InCorp will deduct a $29 cancellation fee and refund any remaining amount. If it’s been more than 30 days or InCorp already sent you their registered agent address, then you can’t get a refund.
InCorp’s policy is also very clear that if you want to switch from them to another registered agent, you need to do so before your registered agent contract renews; they do not prorate refunds for services that you cancel after the renewal date. It’s also important to note that InCorp is very strict about maintaining itself as your agent until you’ve provided ample documentation that you’ve replaced your agent with the Secretary of State. If you haven’t completed these steps before your renewal date, they will charge you for another year’s service (and you won’t get a refund).
InCorp offers a variety of other business services, including entity filings to start a new LLC or corporation, managed report services, document filing services, dissolutions, certified copies, EIN service, help getting a doing business as (DBA) name, a corporate kit, and more.
InCorp’s primary advantage is its pricing, especially for its registered agent services. They charge a reasonable price point ($129 per year) compared to many competitors in this sector. They also offer lower prices if you purchase the service for multiple years.
The main disadvantages we found in our InCorp review are customer feedback and customer support. We didn’t have a positive experience when we asked them a question, and judging by customer reviews online, other people have also had trouble getting the help they need from InCorp’s support team. InCorp’s customer review scores are lackluster, too.
